Mr. Ted Willis graduated Summa Cum Laude from ECU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, where he was voted “Most Outstanding Senior in Music Education”, he taught chorus, piano, composition, drama and guitar to middle school students in Jacksonville, NC. He has worked with several other middles schools across the state helping them with choral music selection, choreography and other elements of choral music. Most notably he directed the Wilson County All-County Chorus. Mr. Willis became the Holly Springs High School Choral Director when the school opened in 2006. This North Carolina Teaching Fellow teaches three levels of chorus at Holly Springs High School as well as AP music theory. When he is not instructing our students he enjoys being involved in several community groups: VocalMotion—an adult show choir, One-Achord—Fuquay-Varina’s United Methodist Church’s male quartet, and FANFARE—Fuquay-Varina’s United Methodist Church’s Advanced Handbell Choir. During the summers he spends his time working at a variety of music camps including Sing Out, Next Stage, Methodist College MusiCamp, and Holly Springs HS Band Camp.
